How close are you to riding in your area?

Has any body taken their first ride yet? How close are you to riding in your area?
It's beginning to look nice around here. Some snow on the lawns, but it has been sunny everyday for the past week, and the roads are dry with no salt or sand left around in my neighborhood.
So far I've only got the bike out of the back of the garage, started her up, and tinkered. Boy that felt good though.

We still have snow on the lawns here but its melting quick. It was abiut 10c here yesterday so I got the bike out and washed it, then took it around the block for a few minutes. It still runs like a champ. Its supposed to stay warm and rain towards the end of the week, that will wash some of the sand and salt away, then I'll start riding to work again.

I saw some bikes out the other day! But for me it will not be till the first week of May before I am on the road:( Unless we get some great weather the next few weeks and I am not putting money on that :)

I was outside the last three hours in just my shirt, working in the garage.I bet its at least 15c out in the sun. The snow is melting quick on the south side of the house. If it wasn't for the sand and salt Id be riding to work today.

It'll be a few more loooong weeks here. Snow's starting to go, but the frost heaves are terrible on the secondary highways where we do most of our riding.

Sure was a nice weekend, though! Finally able to wash the cars in the driveway.

Haven't started up the bike yet, mainly because I just frustrate myself knowing I can't actually ride.

I think the fairings look good on a Nomad. Hows the visibility? I sat on a Harley with one and I didn't like it. The bike also had an aftermarket seat, and maybe that lowered my seating position too much, anyway not seeing the road for the first 6-10 feet in front of the bike was a bizarre feeling.
