OP;

Looks like you're going to have to shake things up a bit in SD and get some of their attention!!!

Hopefully someone else is going. But if they don't; don't let it stop you!!

Oh I am going. This is one of the last runs of the season around here. A buddy of mine just bought a Yamaha Stratoliner so I have to take him out and show him that he should have bought a Nomad.

Ha! Sometimes that is all it takes.

Be gentle on him though. He will feel bad enough in time.

He still thinks it's cool cause it has a detachable windshield and backrest. Stock windshield is not adjustable for height and only comes to eye level. One cool thing they did on it was to put locks on the shield and backrest that use the ignition key to unlock for removal.

A lot of riders like their windshield at "eye-level"... I for one do. Don't have to look through it; can see better. Works for me.

On trips where the shield gets "dirty"; I would much rather be able to look over it to see. If set at the right height for the rider it still deflects a lot of wind and debri (bugs).

The "key" thing here is that with a NOMAD; you get a choice -- something your poor friend doesn't have!

Well he has a choice, on or off. Ha Ha. He was showing it off this morning and told the guy one of the reasons he bought it was he wanted a bigger windshield, as the bike sat there with the windshield removed. He should have bought a HD, he would have fit right in

Stratoliner... isn't that a name for an airliner? Doesn't seem to be a very good name for a motorcyle.

'Strato'... likely comes from the name "stratosphere"...

'liner' likely from an ocean-liner. Combined... that means a 'liner' that travels in the stratosphere..

Yeah... that's it. Your friend bought a bike that thinks it is an airliner.

In that case; he had better keep the windshield on!
