Hard starting when wet
When you say the plugs where wet, do you mean wet like with moisture or wet with gas like the bike was flooded? Do you have a Hyper charger of something like it on the bike?

Hard starting when wet
I have read that under no circumstances should the throttle be opened when trying to "help" start a Nomad. This causes the injectors to add more fuel. Our EFI system cannot clear out the cylinders. On cars, flooring the gas and holding it there will shut off fuel to unload the cylinders. To bad our system will not do this. We have to keep our hands off the throttle even when we have the urge to open it.

Hard starting when wet
Mine will sometimes be hard to start after washing, now I cover the K&N filter with a Zip Loc salad bowl cover,(its the same as a shower cap) and that does the trick. Also a couple times Ive had the bike cranking over when its dry out and not fire, Its my ignition switch not making a good connection on one of the circuits, and I need to replace it soon. Turning the switch on and off a couple times has done the trick so far.

Hard starting when wet
Hey thanks guys, I think I have it fixed I found a bad gasket between the air filter and the throttle body. Looks like it was letting the rain/wash water run down into engine. I to keep my filter covered when washing or setting in the rain, thats why I didn't think that was the problem. I just poured water in different locations until I found it. I've been reading board for awhile and knew you guys would help. THANKS!
