99 drifter/nomad ???
There is a 99 drifter for sale locally and I've always liked the looks. So I'm wondering does anyone know how similar the drifter is to a nomad? The drifter is fi does it have the pog like the 99 nomad? What parts are interchangeable? Is the drivetrain the same?

99 drifter/nomad ???
Drifters came with the steel oil gear and I think they are belt drive but not 100% sure. The alternator will not be as large as the Nomad one is also. Some of the parts will interchange but the drifter is a rather unique bike, to mimmick the Indian cheifs.

99 drifter/nomad ???
The '99 Drifter came with a steel oil gear as Steve said. However the 1500 Drifter is shaft drive where as the 800 Drifter is chain drive. Since they didn't make an 800cc drifter in 1999 I have to assume the one you are looking at is shaft drive.

99 drifter/nomad ???
Always had a soft spot for the Drifters. The 99 in Maroon with everything blacked out is a really pretty bike. As stated it had a steel oil gear, and shaft drive. Most all the accesories are unique to it as most of the sheet metal is specific to the Drifter only. Good Luck

99 drifter/nomad ???
Cheifs bike, the red/black 02 that he has is probably the nicest looking Drifter that Ive seen. If I was ever to get one, thats the way Id like it to look. It has that old style nostalgic look to it that I love.
