good evening

I picked up 2005 classic 1600 with 12200 miles about 6 weeks ago. My last bike was an SV1000s. I have put 2000 miles on the vulcan since owning it and I am finding it needs some upgrades. The bags are way to small, needs to have some suspension work. I really enjoy the ride and am interested in learning more about them.

Greetings, Welcome and Congratulations from Eastern Iowa.

Progressive, front a rear is the way to go IMHO. If memory serves, the 412 HD's ("Heavy Duty" not that BRAND ) were what I used. There was another model/series which looked better, but the $$$ kept me at the 412HD. Looks being one thing, but the improvement in ride and handling with the PROGRESSIVES! yeah baby!

Also, are you considering changing the fork oil while at it? Well, on 2005 ALL fluids... Sorry.. babbling...

Enjoy your new-to-you-ride!

Ride safe,
Smokier
