Steering Stem Nut Wrench

Anyone have a good alternative to the Kawasaki steering stem nut wrench? I don't want to buy another limited use specialty tool.

I use a punch and tap gently. I made a tool a year or so ago, but havn't tried it out yet.
You can also make one from an adjustable wrench and a couple bolts. I think Gadgets page shows how to make it, or at least a picture of it.

I used a punch and small hammer. I struck it very gently.

I had a standard spanner wrench that has a pivot half way around the neck, I had to grind a little off the nub so it would fit in the slots, works great

Maybe because it's so early, but ...

...the title of this thread sounds like a particularly painful and effective martial arts move.

Gadget's page has several alternatives. http://www.gadgetjq.com/steering_stem_adjust.htm

If you are going to knock something, knock softly but firmly. Soft firm knockers are the very best kind.

I am amazed the way some of the minds work on this forum.
