news, rally rides info.

Hi all. In the rally news thread we offered to send an information package about the rally if you Pm'ed me ( Fish) or Norm (cnc) your email address.
We now have a information package available about the rides consisting of the two group rides and four self guided rides. For those interested we can send this using the same procedure.
Thanks.

The great Northeast US & Canada East rally will be here within two weeks. Just a reminder to have your waiver and ICE forms completed by check in. It will make everything run smoother.
Another announcement will follow shortly regarding the small fee to cover the meet & greet and overhead.
Thanks, look forward to seeing you all.

You forgot to mention that the rides in the information package are going to be changed due to some of the roads being in terrible condition.
Just in case some have downloaded the rides to their GPS already.
I believe an update to the group rides will be available from you guys as soon as Tom gets them revised, correct?

I pre-rode both group rides over the past week, and found many of the secondary roads to be in really bad condition. This winter was really tough on the roads here. As a result, I am re-doing both group rides.

Over the next few days, I expect to pre-ride the changes and will then publish final ride plans and GPS files.

Several of the routes I am dropping are Route 118 through Oliverian Notch, Route 25C, Lost Nation Road, Route 110A, Evans Notch Road, Hurricane Mountain Road, Carter Notch Road, Route 113, and Route 113A. Several of these are really great rides, so if anyone is interested in doing them on the off day, please see me at the rally. Just be aware that portions of these roads are extremely bumpy, with a lot of hills and curves, and must be ridden with extreme caution.

Thanks guys, such is the case with a lot of the roads here in Vermont. These past couple
of winters and the lack of maintenance over the years has left us with some of the bumpiest
riding I've ever seen.
