Voyager 1700 Music Through Speakers Via Bluetooth
Voyager 1700
Currently I run my music to my speakers with Bluetooth using my Garmin Zumo 595. It work for music on the SD card in the GPS, music on the SD card on my phone and music from Pandora. I would like to upgrade to the Zumo XT but it doesn't have a "Line In" plug like the 595 for playing music through the speakers. Is there any way to have music go through Bluetooth from my phone to the speakers? I don't know how the prompts would come through the speakers either. Any advice on this would greatly be appreciated.

JD ,
Depends on what you are using to connect. MP3 plug or the Apple plug w/ the unit. I have a "cool stream" that works thru the apple Unit plugged in to the bike. And with a Mini jack for the MP3 side of the bike( will not charge by it self there though) Set it to receive. And the MP3 side of the bike you can also plug in the unit. It has to be set to receive on either side. If you need to wire your own plug, Cycleterminals # MTO-3 set. And that is my extent of knowledge. Hope it helps some. Mike

Thanks Mike!
I am going to see if I can use a Bluetooth adapter that has an output with a 3mm plug to plug into my GPS Adapter I already have. If that will work I can use Bluetooth connection from my phone to play the music through the speakers. I don't need the GPS commands through the speakers as I never have them audible.

I can't offer any help with the audio connection JD, but I can certainly comment on the Zumo XT... It's awesome. I don't use the speakers in my Voyager at all, and never have. Not a fan of anything except exhaust sound from a bike.
So I have the XT hooked up to my Sena alone. I only listen to music from the SD card in it, or directions from the GPS when I tap the button over from the intercom. But the XT is a BIG step up from Garmin. And the visor from Wunderlich makes it even better.

Thanks Peg! I have the audio working with Bluetooth to an FM station now. I have ordered the XT, the visor and the auto window mount kit. Thanks for the heads up on this!
