I ended up with 4 segments, to get the videos short enough to upload to Photobucket. I was going to use YouTube, until Dan told me about his problems there, but evidently Photobucket has the same issue. The video was all shot by my wife, looking over my shoulder, so there's lots of footage of the back of my helmet. I didn't bother to edit out any of the flubs either. Hell, the entire thing boiled down is 16 minutes of flubs.

Oh, yeah...
The music is all from Bobby Volare's album Smashed hits and Golden Chi-Chi's

Anyhow there are four parts:

Part one is the ride on highway 99 & 58 to Mesquite & part of the group ride on I-15.

Part two and three are the ride through Zion

Part four is Kolob Terrace Road, a bit of the Mojave, and our return home.

Part-1
Part-2
Part-3
Part-4

Hey Cadd, you better ad some footage of the Kolob ride that shows the upper elevation up in the pines and quakies and cooler weather. People will think I led you guys just out through the desert! :)

Sorry Dan. That's all the video Judy shot of Kolob Terrace. There are lots of still photos though, and it was NICE up there, folks. It was at least 20o F cooler than Checkerboard Mesa, and 40o F cooler than Virgin river Gorge. I kid you not! 75o F up on the terrace and 115o F down in the gorge.

Very nice vids Judy. Watching it seemed like I was there. Good music too. I used to work in Coalinga when I drove for Producers & Foremost Dairies. Excellent job. -Rich

Considering how mercilessly I was tossing her about back there, she really did do pretty well.

Maybe I'll buy her a better camera next year. ;)

PS: Judy came off the seat about 6" when I hit that first cattle guard on Kolob. (Start of video #4.)

I remember that cattle guard, I piled on the brakes to keep from going over it that hard. Judy wasn't too happy with you about that one. She does take real good pictures.

Do you mean she's a good photographer? Or that she's photogenic?

I've been married a long time. There is only one answer to that question. She's both. Keeps us from getting on the bad side of the wives. She had a good eye for spotting places to take pictures. Considering the heat that was quite an accomplishment.

I almost ran over you on a couple of those cattle guards until I figured out that were crossing them like a little old lady. Hahahaha. No doubt Judy did appreciate not getting launched off the back of the bike though. That was a great ride and definitely cooler. You forgot to mention hiding at the end of the road and watching MO and myself shoot by at light speed onto the gravel. That is another story. All in all, I had a great time.

Did you get that shock repaired yet?

No, I think you can actually hear her yelp on the sound track of video #4. I was rubbernecking & didn't see the cattle guard untill it was too late. I'm glad I slowed down though, That last one was busted up pretty badly. Coulda really caused some damage.

Actually, we'd stopped with MarkG to take more photos, and didn't show up at the lake untill well after your death-defying motocross stunts. ;)

No. I haven't decided what to do about them yet. I don't want to spend $900 on another set of un-rebuildable Showas & have them go bad in 30k. For about the same money I can get completely rebuildable ones from Wilburs in Germany. Custom set to my specs on the springs & valving too.

Otherwise I could get a new set of black take-offs from an Electraglide on eBay, I see them all the time for $50~$100 a set. They'll fit OK just by changing the rubber grommets.
