Do your bags move

Justwondering. I noticed that when I lift up the bags from the bottom, there is about 1/2 inch of play up and down. I've tighted the bolts and all seems secure. Are the bags designs to have some play or do I need to replace a bushing somewhere?

thanks

When I wash my bike, I remove the bags and I noticed this the last time I reinstalled them. Mine don't seem to have enough play that they could come loose, though.

I had that problem early on. I noticed that there was a lot of play in the rubber bushings under the bags where the bag stumps rest. Did what Gadget suggested on his site and bought a couple of valve seals made for commodes...they work!

I used these. Tightened them up nicely and about $3 less a set than those toilet things.

It is a good idea to let then both swing a little.. If you get the saddlebags overly tight I'll bet you will soon wish you didn't.
