Heel shifter

I never use the heel shifter anymore. I've tryed in the past to get use to it but never liked it. Sometimes when I rid my heel seems to rest on the bar of it and that bugs me, so I decided to just remove it. With the splined shaft showing I just couldn't live with it lookin like that so I made up a spline cover. It has a cinch bolt holding it in place but thats underneath as to not be seen. I like the looks of this set up better now..bdog

Heel shifter

And Im the exact opposite, I doubt I'll ever use a bike without the heel shifter again. It took a bit of getting used to, but I love it.
I had to adjust the height a couple times to find the right spot, but now its great.

Nice looking mod Bdog. However, I'm with Ring and others, I love the heel shifter.

Heel shifter

I use it all the time, but it was a long time before I did. It seemed funny to me at first. One day I used it with a fairly cold engine still and the shift to 2nd dropped right in with no typical chrunching, and I liked that.

Lube that bell crank linkage from time to time. I know 'we' don't see it, but it sure is exposed.

Once so far I rammed a stick of oak into the bell crank rod, and it locked me up. I couldn't shift up or down, and had no choice but to stop and investigate.

Whar's the brass and the neat little holes to match the air filer cover knob?

Heel shifter

This bike is my first with the heel shift. I didn't think that I would like it or ever get used to it. Now I would never go back to just a toe shift. I just love having the heel shifter.

Nice job on the mod Bdog.

Heel shifter

Took me a while to get away from pulling up with my toe to shift but once I got the hang of the heel shifter I wouldn't take anything for it. I feel it is a great feature.

Heel shifter

That's a neat mod Bdog. I have become so accustomed to the heel shifter that I am looking for it on my ATV. I wouldn't want to do without it.

Heel shifter

Two things I will have to have on any bike I own:
1. windshield or fairing
2. heel shifter
