'Lightning' from the Jay Leno Garage
I found this to be quite interesting, hope you do to.

WOW.... It's definitely the future. MIT is working on a battery that can be fully charged in about the same time it takes to fill a gas tank. Couple that with a distance of 250 to 300 miles per charge and there won't be any looking back.

Watched that recently. I think they realize it's not ready for the general public quite yet. But a few more years.

If it were capable of re-charging while one had a cup of coffee and a trip to the rest room, and had a range of 150-200 miles I think it would sell. Providing the cost was comparable to a gas powered bike.

Just think about how much distance you could cover at 200 mph.
The cost of the normal production model he said is $38K.

There is something really weird about not hearing the roar of the motor.

Thats the first electric bike that seems to have any hope of making it to the market and being accepted. I like what I seen about it.

I had to laugh at one of the viewer's comments below the video:
Merely fast, No soul, no rider connection, no passion, no noise. Dumbed down motor cycling. No thanks. i will stick with my Ducati. I would dare say that the guy who rode it through the all curves and hairpins to win overall at Pikes Peak would argue that there is definitely a "rider connection".
