Stock Exhaust
I have a 06 Nomad 1600 and might be looking for a stock exhaust system in the near future. I saw the older posts but no comments recently. Anyone got a stock set up they might want to get rid of?

Stock Exhaust
Still got my stock exhaust on now. I'm thinking about gutting stock mufflers to see if I like them before I spend the money on a new aftermarket exhaust. This way I'll always have a stock set up if I sell or trade in the future.

Save your money. Just do the BD baffelectomy. You will like the sound and so will any future buyer. I only know of one person out of the many who have done it that wasn't satisfied with it.
Of course if you are one of those people who have to have a deafening, obnoxious earsplitting exhaust, thanks for turning the general public against us responsible motorcyclists. Loud pipes save lives my a$$.

I know some people with deafening, obnoxious earsplitting exhaust that might take offense to that

You know, I really don't care who takes offense to it.
Loud pipes are only good for one thing. Well two things. 1-They turn people who know nothing about motorcycles against us. 2- They pi$$ me off. Misunderstood, Why would you think you need loud pipes? There are towns and cities all over the US trying to BAN motorcycles from their streets because of the noise factor. Do you not care as long as it is not your town?

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. But when you said , Yeah,Me , I thought you were offended. You say you don't buckle to people who feel if you don't agree with them you are wrong. Would you buckle to a town board that said you either have to get rid of your Cobra exhaust or not ride on their streets? I'm calm, just asking a hypothetical

I'm calm, just asking a hypothetical [/quote:vn4u9ccj] I'll do whatever I have to do to be able to ride. Felt that way since I was a kid and before I got my license and 1st bike at 16. Like I said they came on the bike (cobra exhaust), I'm not the type to sit a rev the throttle just to make noise. They are louder probably then stock, but not obnoxious. Probably no worse then those that gut there's as you suggested. I thought the J/K (just kidding) and the wink let you know I wasn't serious. I'm always misunderstood, hence the name. |

I'm somewhat computer illiterate :-[ Didn't get what the J/K meant ???
Sorry again for the misunderstanding. It's just the noise issue gets my blood boiling. Actually anything that may infringe on my right to ride gets my blood boiling Take care and ride like your invisible.

We should get out of here. From what I've seen, Nico will be here wanting us all to have a group hug and make up.
