the sad thing about the ride is the people who started it have split and are sueing each other. but claiming to be the real ride. different websites, different tshirts but same route except for the ending point

Hmmmm. This is confusing.

This website (http://www.lightningcustoms.com/trailoftearsride.html) shows the ride starting at the same place on the same day but ending in Waterloo, Alabama. However, there is a link on that site for more information and to get the schedule which sends you to (http://www.trailoftears-remembrance.org/). On this site the end point is Florence, Alabama.

they have vendors in both spots we ride into florence and then after looking around buying what ever leave there and ride on to waterloo 35 miles, they have more vendors and we buy more, the food in waterloo is better some of the riders in the main group drop off in florence and then other ride into waterloo we saw about 35,000+/- ride into waterloo last year. its a great time.
ride safe.

First I've heard about the suit. It's a shame that they can't come together for a common cause.

this is sad that people just can't let a good thing be I am sure in boils down to the almighty $$$. or someone thinks they should have their 15min of fame. I go because its a great ride lots of bikes, fun day trip. I like that it helps keep the past alive and in front of people and helps with their cause. I could not tell you whom even started the ride but I glad they did. but as I said sad that it has to come down too sueing someone.
ride safe
