Horse Power gains on Varquero after Mod!

Got my V for 4 moths only has 1300 miles. I am thinking of doing a power performance mods. V&H slip on pipes, power commander dynojet, Thunder Air-box and run the dyno. With all of these replacements after market parts.
My questions is how many horse power that I will gains compare to leave it stock? and the 1,2,3 gears will make it go faster and smoother? Please advices! thanks

normally you will get about a 10% gain from those mods in horsepower which would mean maybe an additional 6 or 7 horsepower.

Double that HP figure....my Vaquero went from 69 rear wheel HP to 84 rear wheel HP after the Thunder air kit, V&H slip ons, and PC5 with a good map. Others have even gotten a couple more HP out of theirs.

My Vaquero went from just under 65 peak H.P. to 85 H.P. and from 78 pnds tork to 102 pnds tork with s/ons, my big air kit and PCV and custom map. Those seem to be the typical gains.

Another gain in that 1-2-3 gear area, matter of fact in all gears is to have the throttle mod done.

The Vulcans are strangled from the factory to meet out EPA/DOT emmission and noise laws, so opening them up WAKES them up!! :)

Which V&H slip-ons should we use? Is there one specific model, or a choice of several? And if a choice, how do you choose?

Vance and Hines slash cuts---look on the V&H website they are listed under metric bikes. Also one of the best changes to the bike was the throttle mod by RacnRay it really makes the Vaquero "perform"!

Thanks, motomi1. Never knew mufflers could be that costly (nearly a grand for a pair!), but I'm looking into the project. And thanks for the tip on Racnray's mod, although I already was aware of that.

Phat Performance is where I bought my V&H Slash Cuts and the $399 was best price w/no shipping charge. I do think I saw a post (can't remember which forum) someone got these pipes for around $50 less that Phat but Phat is wonderful to deal with.
