The definition of a new vehicle is a vehicle that has never been titled. The owner can't call it new legally.

Nice bike and I don't think the price is too bad for a bike with zero miles on it.

Did I miss it? Said it has zero miles and was purchased for a collection. There's a good chance it wasn't registered. If it was truly purchased for a collection, he should have left it dry.

Did they come from factory with the front fender tip, light bar, and tank bib?

I doubt it, he probably added a few bits of stuff to it.

Again, kind of surprising to me. Wouldn't you think someone who buys something specifically as a collection item would leave it factory? Perhaps that's just me?

The ad said "clear title". It may not have been registered, but it was titled.

2005 Drifter 1500 used retail price is $5810. $8K doesn't sound bad at all, I would pay that price if I were looking for one.

Most of the add ons are totally reversable, except perhaps for a couple tiny holes for the fender tip, even then its fixable.

The ad states that he added these things. I was surprised too since he bought it not to ride.

Not only is the bike itself rare but the fender tips are highly desireable and, if I remember right, they were out of production before the 2005 Drifter was produced. The only way to get a set of these these days is to buy a bike that has them on it. I sold my Nomad yesterday, it looks like this have put a new card in play :-)

Re: sale of the Nomad - will have a group of accessories (which I hadn't got around to installing yet) to sell next week (after the bike has been delivered to its new owner).
