metal strips
Due to the previous owner, my metal strips on the bags are lifting. Before I catch them on something, What has anyone else used to stick them back down? Just about 2" at the rear. Been putting this off since June. I only want to do it once.

If mine ever start lifting I might consider removing them if the paint underneath is in good shape

Happened to mine too a few years back. Just put some adhesive under them, placed some masking tape over them to hold them in place while the adhesive set. Next morning they were secure and ready to go. Haven't lifted up again since.

If its not to bad a shape, crazy glue sometimes does the trick. You have to make sure it is cleaned well to work.

Thanks, I will try the tape. They are bent a little. Thought about removing them but I like the looks.

I took mine off, I did'nt like the looks of them, a lot of work. I don't know what kind of adhesive they use but its a b!tch to get off. The paint under it is just fine.

I thought those strips were plastic trim. When I bought my 05 used it still has the clear plastic protection on them. They were a bitch to get off. It seemed to me like the strips were soft.
