I picked up a free standing ac unit for my cargo hauler/camper. Just have to vent it to the outside.

Vulcanscott, My first pop-up camper didn't have AC. So I installed a small 110 window unit at the back wall. I cut a hole thru the wall and fabbed up some mounting brackets attached to the rear bumper to hold the unit, worked great for the 5 years that I used her. This was a lot cheaper than the roof install and it looked good. Good luck with the restore.
