Has anyone here tried the Vance and Hines Fuelpak? I see alot of the Cobra and PC3 and I have a Dobeck TFI on my 900 LT. Just wondering if anyone has likes or dislikes while i try to make up my mind.

I haven't tried it on any of my bikes. I do have the Cobra FI2000R on my Nomad and it works really great. Only three pots to deal with.

The V&H fuelpack is fairly complicated to use, with like 47 settings you have to make. I can't say if they are any good, because I don't know anyone that's installed one. Most of us have either the Cobra or Dobeck TFI. If you're looking for technical support, stick with those or you'll be on your own.

Check out the Power Commander, it gives a good range of adjustment with its maps.

Ringadingh,

Did you keep you Power Commander on the factory settings for V&H with after market air intact? I have the power commander and would like to know if I should adjust it or keep the factory settings.

I called V&H yesterday and asked for the Dyno charts for our bikes. They said they would email them and they did not. They do not have a segttings already for a Nomad just a mean streak with Classic pipes. I had asked the same question a few weeks ago because my Cobra went bad. I just ordered the GMan Bully, Gary is a great guy and spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me and he has the dyno charts to show the improvement. He let me have it for free freight If I told the group here on the forum

So far as I think I know the V&H has 35 settings, which 33 must be set for a Nomad.

I think you need to call them for the settings info, and that there is no paper booklet for them.

Unless someone sends me one, or sends Cj one, and or a few other guys who can set these up.....'maybe', chances are that no one here will even know.

I sure don't know, but I can't understand at 33 settings either. I am not really llooking to play and mess about with one either.

3 screws for either TFI and or Cobra and you have all ya need.

I'ld like to see a link or pics of the Bully. I have never heard of it.

That is the one, I arrived Saturday, very fast shipping, it is a nice compact little unit. I guess some people mount them to change setting on the fly, but I am going to put mine behind the side cover. I will update once it is installed.

I had my nomad on the dyno a month ago. He made a custom map. The bike is so smooth and at higher throttle openings it really has got a lot more pop.

I had the map from power commander web site . At the start i was pushing 62 hp after the custom map I am pushing 71.6 hp with no poping or surging. He took in consideration my driving habits. Cruising all day between 45 and 55 with groups and the occasional romp on the town with just the guys. Best of both worlds. Was on the machine over 2 hours.
