Hi guys. Yes, I know they make new Nomads but I'm kinda leaning towards a Victory right now and starting to look. Grandbabies are much more fun than my own kids ever were maybe because I can send...

Still missing my Ruby

Hi to all. Brian and I are still here and still enjoying the quads but I do miss Ruby and miss riding even though its been 15 month since we sold the Nomads. With that being said, our son has a new...

A quad is definitely a different ride than a Nomad and I am enjoying it.

Air Dam

We always knew that having 2 cruisers was an expensive hobby but until we got the quads we never realized how expensive. A typical weekend of gas for the Nomads was costing us $150 whereas we can...

recumbentbob - good for you if you like buffeting- personally I didn't like the feeling that my head was going to be ripped off.

Both Nomads are gone-Brian's sold first, a week after putting it on Kijiji, and mine went 3 weeks later. We got a really good price for both, despite the higher mileage, and both went far enough...

Fork bag, larger lowers, and engine guard covers is the combination to stop all of the buffetting.

Wow we discovered years ago that filling the space between the fender and headlight bucket stopped about 50% of the buffeting experienced on a Nomad. I have posted that a fork bag works a number of...

Oil Change but curious about .....

My '03 was one of them with the recall. Didn't use a Kawi filter before the recall, never used one after and never used the stupid canister either. Owned the Nomad for 8 years, put a lot of miles on,...

clutch issue

Unfortunately, Ma Kaw considers clutches to be a wear part and will say that the rider does not know what they are doing. And it is not only Kawasaki; my son had the clutch on his Yamaha quad burn...

clutch issue

Not the oil, probably a weak spring again. Don't buy Kawasaki springs, they make crap springs (even a meanie spring is crap), buy a Barnett. And why would the spring fail again, so soon? Who knows? ...

Stock Intake $25 plus shipping

Stock intake? Do you mean the dog bowls or the throttle bodies? The throttle bodies are the intake and the dog bowls are a cover.

Cycle Cat Engine guard chaps +

Engine guard covers do not make a Nomad run hotter, you might be hotter but not the liquid cooled Nomad. We have been in some of the hottest weather in North America, 120+, with the heavy covers on...

Holy Smokes! New Tire, Sticker Shock

Don't know about working around the belt drive on a 1700 but I do know you do not need to remove, or even loosen, the pipes to change the rear tire on a 1500 or 1600, we have done both. Take off the...

Fully Loaded Nomads

A little bit more pressure in the tires will do wonders for the ride on a Nomad. Years ago we had a guy tell us to add a couple more psi to both front and rear tires and the tires would last longer...

Just plain WRONG!

Child molesters should be held in a special place - and then I would apply a dull, rusty spoon to that special place.

Stebel and water

If we could carry in Alberta, I definitely would have a gun. Unfortunately, there is gun registration with lots of red tape and we definitely are not allowed to carry a hand gun. All hand guns are...

I posted this question in the NMR board but some of you guys look here first so I'll ask the question here also.

Stebel horn and water

We removed our Stebel's off the Nomads and are mounting them on the quads. The horn on a quad, like that on a Nomad, are crappy and I have already come across a bear back in the mountains with...

Just plain WRONG!

Anybody, and I do mean anybody, that gets on or in any kind of a vehicle after even one drink, should be taken out and severely beaten.

A six year old child on a motorcycle is dangerous and should...

How much is too much? -Mileage question.

Yes, 2001 and up are FI.

If you haven't sat on either a 1500 or a 1600, try to find one of each and sit on them. I have ridden both and did not like the seating position on the 1600. I found...

Front Crash Bars - You won't believe this!

BTW engine guard covers are a lot cheaper than new bars. Put a set of covers on and don't take them off.
