I'm making some progress with my injuries. The "Road Rash" is healing well and some of the swelling in my hands and knees is going down now. My ribs are still painfull but the medication helps and I am finding a few more comfortable posistions to sleep in now. My breathing is coming along also and I am loosing weight too. All good things. Thanks again for your kind words and concerns it's good to be writing this. DJ

DJ,
The ribs take the longest. Keep progressing, remember the deep-breathing and pray to avoid coughing.

DJ
Just found this post and a belated get well wish for you. I went down in April and just started riding again. Kind of freaky first time back, especially at higher speeds. Really had to do some soul searching to decide if I wanted to ride again. Best for a speedy recovery.. Don't rush it.. Joe |

Sneezing not a fun thing for those ribs either. They say it helps to hold a pillow against your chest whenever you have to sneeze or cough.

Hey DJ, Glad to hear you are doing well after that experience. I have been out of the Kawanow loop for a while and just popped in to see what changed. Like BD said, us Californians are tough. I am sure you are looking for another bike for next spring. (Or month cause we Cali riders can motor year round) Get well now fellow central valley resident!
Ken
