Riding without a backrest
I had to run a few errands today and just for kicks I slid my Grasshpper backrest off today. I got 3 blocks away and said that just does not feel right without any support. So i turned around and put it back on.
Man...aren't we the spoiled one!

Riding without a backrest
Spoiled? Or just worn out! ::)
For me, it's not so much the years as the mileage. I will readily admit that I want comfort on my ride now. I've got a lifetime of bravado experiences behind me, yanno?

Riding without a backrest
Sometimes I remove my Mustang backrest for local errands and the like, but I wouldn't go on any trip over maybe 50 miles without it.
Comfort is king!

Riding without a backrest
I haven't gotten dependent on mine yet but I'm sure it won't take much longer.

Riding without a backrest
Guess I am just an old fashioned guy or cheap. I have never owned a backrest. Not saying I wouldn't but just haven't done so yet.

Riding without a backrest
Ive never ridden the Nomad without a backrest, and I doubt I could now. Its really nice having something to lean against.
If I could bolt a Lazy Boy on the bike and make it look good I probably would.

Riding without a backrest
Wouldn't be without my backrest. Not a Grasshopper, it's a Bakup brand, but I couldn't ride without it.

Riding without a backrest
Never did the backrest thang in all my riding years, but who knows, when I was younger I used to tell friends if they ever see me behind a windshield, shoot me! To this day, I constantly watch for snipers.
But, unless they fold down or somethin',(do they?) how do you avoid that "lookin' like you have some kind of errrr, ahhhh, internal problem" when you mount up? ??? |
