Heading toward Yuma for a reason to ride. My neice just married a Jar Head and he just returned from Iraq. They are now stationed in Yuma and I thought it would be fun for them and me to ride down and see them. Anyone know of a decent but cheap motel in that area. My brother (the Harley Rider) will probably ride down with me. It will be a nice 8 hour ride.

Way to go Dennis! Rough it and pitch a tent.

Too dang old to sleep on the ground anymore. I also need a nice hot shower in the morning to get the joints warmed up and ready to ride each morning.

In the 60's when I was stationed at MCAS Yuma we would run accross the border into Mexico. You could get a room for $5 there.
Course it came without a shower but with company and was only for a hour!

Never been there Dennis, but I use TripAdvisor as a reference. You can compare prices with several different companies and lots of feedback for each hotels. Nothing else you can find out if the hotel is a sh*t hole or not.

Thanks guys I'll try Trip Advisor. Sure not going to take trosco's advise and go into Mexico. I have been there and done that when I was young and stupid in the Army in Korea.

Dennis, don't worry about it. There are a lot of good places to stay in Yuma. You won't have any problems.
