Checking oil level
LOL pretty soon I will weigh 145 again. My summer weight. I have a CT too, but could do it on a mc tire. My 06 ain't been down once yet. Not even after hitting that jeep last August.
I leave the side stand down too, and if things go tits up I can just shove it back over. The thing to remember is to hold the ft brake. I am pretty sure pablo was just makin a funny....

Checking oil level
I learned a lot from this post. I'm going to change my oil tomorrow. Is there any problem with changing it while on a jack stand and sitting level or should it be on the side stand for angle purposes?

Checking oil level
Dennis, Drain it from the screen plug on the sidestand. You will drain more of the old oil this way and you can inspect and clean the screen.
