Green Neutral Light

Have 1999 Kaw Vul Classic. Within the last two weeks my neutral light either keeps blinking or comes on and stays on. It doesn't affect anything as everything works properly. Is there a solenoid that could be bad or is this just a short. Also my spots quit working completely at about the same time. Does this mean I have to go into my head light and look for both problems? Any ideas out there? Thanks in advance.

Green Neutral Light

There is a switch inside the transmission that lets you know when the gear fork is in neutral.
That's where I would look first.
