backrest

My friend has a 03 and the back rest sucks, It's a moveable Jardine. It sits too forward for his wife. Does any one know if 06,07,08 backrest will fit. And maybe some one has one for sale.

The 1600 passenger backrest would not be easily adapted to a 1500. I could be wrong (it would be a first), but the 1500 doesn't have the chrome filler rails between the saddlebags and rear fender, and that's what the 1600 backrest mounts to.

Scott is probably right because of the chrome fillers. Might see what Grasshopper has.

Carlos........I just looked at mine and it sure seems that Scott is correct. The sissy bar is probably quite a bit wider than a 1500's.

He's talking about the passenger backrest, Gene. I don't believe Grasshopper makes those.

You are talking about the sissy bar on the back of the pillion? What happened to the OEM F&S backrest that came with the Nomad? That's probably what he needs to put back on for the best comfort.

The guy before had a Jardine backrest that moves forward to be used as a riders also. So in the passenger position it's angled to much forward.

I've seen that backrest and it is really ugly compared to the F&S.
