I actually have a scuff mark on one of my bags that I need to try and buff out as well, just haven't attempted it yet.
I have used TR-3 on cars and bikes for years (at the sugjestion of my Auto Body Repair shop). It's cheep, it works, it's easy to find. It makes the deap ones look better even though they are still there.

Just a door without strips and handle is like $432.00, new. List price. The entire bag is over $1100.00, so you made out good.

Does any one know where or if a color rite color number can be crossed over to say DuPont or other paints? Just came back from a paint supplier that used a camera to code the paint on my Nomad. they can get 97% on the tan but only 47% on the Vintage Red color. I took the saddle bag in so they could use the camera on it. Just wondering?

Try a different paint shop...BUT, if you like you bike and want the paint to match, spending an extra $1-200 is worth it, no? Especially if you've already bought a tourpak and in some cases batwing fairing. At that point it's small change compared to the total investment.

Time for some body work then or replace the door(s). The titanium, silver and black doors were used in different years and color combos. May be something used can be scrounged up or may be it's worth repainting.

There's no color matching as black isn't a color.

I was not going to say that, but it is true. I wanted a bike that stood out a little from the rest. been several places where there were 30 black bikes and only 2 or three with color to them and that were the ones always talked about how nice they looked

I don't think there is a color on the Nomad I haven't liked or couldn't until this year. They have a black/green combo I don't care for. Outside of that, it's all good. I wish Kawasaki would use the colors from the first year the Nomad came out: Red/Red and Green/Green.

Now, I never said black stood out. Just that there's no color matching issue if something needs to be repainted. You know what they say....Once you go black, you'll never go back. lol

? Not sure what you mean. When I owned it I was about 70-80 lbs lighter and didn't have a speck of gray. It was a fun bike.

Just saying you might be the exception to the rule as you didn't go back to black. I was just kidding.
