Small town America.....

We went on a Christmas Tour of Antebellum mansions in Madison Ga today. Evidently Sherman didn't burn Madison and some really neat 1830-1850 homes exist there.

While driving out to one that was out of town we drove through the Socially depressed side of town (don't I sound like a good "progressive"?). There on the corner, a mere 6 blocks from downtown, standing next to his candy apple red 78 Monte Carlo(reptile with 24's), I saw a big African-American gentleman( ooo there I go again) exchange a small white packet of rocks for a folded up batch of $20's.

Even though I was 70 miles out of Atlanta, nothing is changed. And 40 minutes later, on the return leg of my excursion, he was still in the exact spot, passing something into another car.

So, in conclusion, I saw 2 drug deals in 40 minutes, in a town I've never been to before, perpetuated by the same guy ( while just driving by at 45 mph). What he hell do the cops do in Madison Ga?????

Good one Gerry. If people don't call the police when they see things like this happen it will continue to happen. Just a thought.
