Hitch for Nomad

I have a custom made hitch to pull a trailer or to put a storage box on behind the fender. It is galvanized and very heavy duty. When installed it is hidden. The flat bottom it level with the fender. It utilizes two bolts on each side of the fender. You will need to remove two bolts from a piece that mounts to the fender and get longer bolts to go all the way though along with nuts and washers. This did not interfere with my 195/60-16 Car tire. Came off a 1600. Let me know if you are interested. Asking $100.

I have a 2003 1500 nomad, I wonder if this would fit on mine?

The bolts should match up as the bags are the same. All comes down to the width if I was guessing. Check around on fender width of each bike.

Looks sturdy. I'll bet it would look brand new with $5 in paint.

I don't have any pics that will show a shot up in the fender. This one will show how it is hidden. If you look close you will see one of the bolts level with the fender that you will use to bolt up the receiver.

and larger

OK, I'm missing something here.
How do you fasten a receiver to that hidden hitch?

Do you have a photo of the receiver and ball on the bike?

Thanks,
Bob

Never used it for a hitch. So no other pics. Previous owner did. Easiest thing to do would be flat stock of steel bolted to hitch, extending past fender. Drill it with a hole and put in a ball.

This could work too if you wanted to grind out a flat section to mount on the hitch.

It just depends on what you want to do and the energy you want to put into it.

Thanks, just curious if you didn't use it for a hitch what did you use it for?

I didn't use it for anything, it came mounted to the bike. Since I don't need to pack that much on a trip I took it off, figured someone would like it. Just needs more effort than Chucksters, but is stealthy.

Cocheese, I sent you a pm, and if this is still available, I'll take it. PM me the details, and we'll get this ball rolling.

Don't let the ball roll to far away Cliff.
The way I understand it you will need the ball to hook the trailer hitch up.
