I always fill mine right to the brim, until it won't take any more. That way I feel like I don't fill as often.

I fill mine level, to the brim. Not noticed any leaks but dont stop to check either.

If I fill mine that full and then run a couple of miles home and park it, it will overflow just a bit as the gas expands. If I ride 10 miles or so, then no problem.
