I went with the wide set and backrest. I really like it a lot. Seats are a very personal choice, so my choice may very well be all wrong for you though

duneseven, does the backrest on your seat angle your body forward, back or keep you upright?

Seats are very subjective....but I had a Mustang on my Nomad and liked it a lot. It's not top of the line, but it was way better than stock....and the backrest was the bomb....super adjustable. You might check out Ultimate Seats as well...they are similar and everyone seems to like those too.

Someone on here sent his Ultimate seat back for a refund. I think he had a Vaquero.

he back rest and the high shelf on the rear of the drivers seat make all the difference to me. My wife likes the extra wide back seat with the extended arms. I am a Mustang seat fan.

Well worth the money in my opinion - I've put one on my last two bikes as soon as I could get one down here.

No difference (according to Mustang's site) which model 1500 you have. Nomad or Classic, Carbed or FI, one size fits all.

If you're looking for all the bells & whistles (driver's backrest / studs / conchos) - here's a slightly used one on EBay at an excellent price. I paid well over $700 for mine and over $100 to ship it down here - so that's around half what I paid.

Edit: I see you're in Norway. Even more reason to look for a good used one I'd say - although you'd need to be using a shipping agent (I use Shipito) or find a very obliging forum member prepared to help you out by shipping it on to you.
