12 Days and 1300 Miles Old

I purchased her in WV at Ridersville Cycle. Great bunch of people. She's sharing shed space with my 2006 900 Classic LT, which is getting jealous. It took me a couple of days to get used to the extra weight but we've bonded very well. I dressed her up with auxiliary lights, Cee Bailey windshield, iPod adapter, ISO grips, highway pegs, saddlebag rails, Sage Brush saddlebag chaps and, of course, the V&H slip on exhaust. Just waiting for my power adapter and Sage Brush tank bib to arrive. Thinking about getting the chrome pieces blacked out but not in a rush for it. Incredible bike.

Very nice ride congrads all ready past the break in oil change just woundering what oil you put in. That would have been my choice of color if it was out in 2011 so I got red. Good luck enjoy the forum and ride safe.

I went with whatever the local Kaw dealership put in. Going forward I will be doing most of my own oil changes in between yearly services. I plan on using Mobil 1 10W40, exactly what I used in the 900.

Bike looks great PB. Are those black Kury longhorn highway pegs? Said you were considering blacking out some chrome and I just blacked out my crash bars and it really looks good with those pegs. I would highly recommend it. I'll try to get a decent pic of the combo.

Yep, those are the ones. A pic of your crash bars would be greatly appreciated. I'm debating what the right amount of black vs chrome should be and which parts should be blacked out.

Sweet ride and sounds like you have a healthy budget for mods, I have those grips, love them. 1300 miles in 12 days, right on, sounds like you ride almost as much as me. Enjoy the new ride, it appears you are!

I've been having a rough time figuring out what else needs to be blacked out. Only thing I know if that front directionals need to be black. other than that, unsure what else to do. ZZvaquero has some great pix and suggestions. He's going pretty much all black.

Camera is dead but I'll have some pix of black crashbar and pegs up by Saturday.

Yes. How did I forget the 2nd upgrade I did? I have zero experience with the stock seat. I remembered the stock seat from the first few months with the 900 and did not want to relive the experience.
