When a wave is not return I just assume that the other guy is in "the zone", and think nothing more of it.

They Know you? I'm surprised they don't run the other way.

They use to. So then I went outside the store and waited till they came out. Then they started going out the back door and coming back later for the car. So then I started going over to their house. Now if they see me some place they stop and talk for a few minutes. They better waive at me from the car too, or I'll locker down, do a one eighty and follow 'em to where they going.

Got friends all over the shop now!

I can't say I ever have done a fake wave. Not even sure what that is. Some times I put my hand down, sometimes straight out and other times just lift my hand off the grip a bit. No rhyme or reason which one I use at any time. I wave to all motorcycles and trikes unless I'm in a turn. I don't wave to scooters. First they need no license. Second they need no ins. 3rd they have no idea what there doing and 4th one took out a friend of mine by turning into him. He hasn't rode since it happened this past spring. I also find bikers in CT wave to each other more than in MA.
As I approach other bikes I'm thinking will they wave or wave back especially that gnarly harley, open pipes, aps 4 day old beard no helmet (no helmet law in CT). will he or won't he. I lower my arm down give him the peace sign and wait. Did he not wave because I wear a full face or because i don't ride a harley maybe because I just shaved. Sometimes I'm surprised wow he waved.

It's kinda hard from me to tell a real something from a fake something.
I reckon a woman could do a fake wave to arouse your machismo.
They'll do that you know.
After she waves and it's over over, I can't tell the difference.
I just want a cigarette afterwards.

I don't consider my wave "fake" I am just acknowledging another person out there enjoying two wheels and taking the same chances as I am. Kind of a respect thing to me.
If they wave back, fine, if not that is up to them.
I didn't vote as I don't think my wave is "fake"

I wave...always have. When my grandson is riding the back seat he does the waving. It's genuine.

If you stop for gas or in a town when riding and I see another bike I just about always walk over and look at the bike. If the rider is there I greet him/her, introduce myself and shake their hand. I consider the wave the mobile version of this.

I wave, always have.
I even waved to some of those retarded 3 wheelers this weekend, you know
the ones with the 2 wheels in the front.

I always wave at a biker, & I get waved at. But yes, I do get about 5% that don't wave.
