Techlusion Fuel Injection Control Module advice?

I am going to add a fuel control module to my 06 Nomad and was thinking of using the Techlusion Fuel Injection Control Module. Does anyone have experience with this? I am concerned about the Scotchlock connectors. I would appreciate your recommendations on similar products as well!

If it has Scotchlock connectors it must be an older unit. The newer ones do not splice into the wiring harness.

Many forum members have the Techlusion (Dobeck) TFI so lots of help available.

get the EJK model instead. They are plug and play. Plus they have more adjustability.

Yes indeed. The Techlusion Fuel Injection Control Module is what we all call a TFI, and it is probably the most popular module on this forum, mine is one that had to be hard wired in.

I have one also, but it is the newer unit (plug and play). Fairly easy to install and set up. Great product.

I run the first model solder on TFI and IMO it's the best one for these bikes.
I had a 01 with one on it as well, but that bike got stolen. And I have installed several on other bikes since but never a plug n play unit yet. For me the hardest part was seeing the gray / green wire and telling the red gray wires as there are 2 that look similar and these colors to me are pretty murky looking. With the solder on type I cut the wires and strip the ends and then add a pig tail with insulated covers so I can remove the TFI should I ever have a reason. When the wires are first cut i slip on heat shrink tubing, and solder the wires back. In fact i set yo the pig tails in opposites so the TFI can only be plugged in one way. male to female and female to male. The older model has power wires and the plug n play uses the injectors wires to power up.

Probably it makes no difference if you get these 2 wires mixed up.This is a very old system and was first made by Bosh and first came out on the 1968 Volvo 122 Amazon as D jet. Note the D on your Vin number. This is a open loop not closed loop system and there is no O2 sender, so it is pointless to get most any other unit.

I bought the tap-in version last year you can save 50-60 bucks. Very easy to install.
