anyone else step up from a 900?

I owned a 900 Classic for six years before stepping up. Third week of ownership of the Voyager and my wife and I are pleased as punch.

The 900 was nice... but not really set up for all day/ multi day riding. The Voyager is a world apart, it eats road and just wants to eat more. We did a full day through the Gatineau hills this past weekend. Lots of chances to see how the bike handles back roads, hills and curves. It's simply rock solid. The only place it falls apart is I caught some pogo-ing in curves, will have to get the pre load adjusted at my service tomorrow, air is already set to 43psi.

The big does inspire (over) confidence. My wife pointed out how fast I was going most of the day.

Went from the 900LT to a Vaquero in 2013. I really enjoyed the 900 for 6 years and 70,000 km, but the Vaquero is just an awesome ride. Can't say enough about how much I enjoy it. However, it is anything but stock. Just a few of the mods: FP True Duals exhaust, Chucksters BAK, Cobra Power Pro, Corbin seat, Chucksters risers, Ray's throttle mod, clearview shield, and more. It's in getting a new rear Michelin Commander II tire and an oil change today. Off to Tennessee and North Carolina next week.......

I went from a 454 ltd to a vn750 then a 900 and now a 1500 nomad. Id say it was a big change! unfortunately I'm finding it much harder to keep her under 90 on the highway its so smooth. With how smooth and comfortable I've been on the nomad I'm pushing 2500 miles a month.

You mean the rear pre-load?

I feel it in the front, I think the forks are bending/moving. There is a guy here selling a brace for them. I am very tempted to try it.

I went from a Suzuki Boulevard C50, which is an 800cc bike to the Nomad a few years back. Love it and in the almost 4yrs I have had it I am getting close to putting 50,000miles on it.

Yes we went from Vulcan 800 to Vulcan 1500 Nomad several years back.

Very Comfortable but now would like the 6 Speed.

Oh I get the tapping on the shoulders when the wife gets uncomfortable.

Yes I went from a 900 Classic LT to a 2013 Voyager. I loved the smaller bike due to my inseam/leg length.

I've shaved the seat and lowered the 1700 a bit and love it.

I owned a 2006 900 lt classic for three years. I loved every second on it. I upgraded to my 01 1500 nomad and love everything about it. Don't think I'll ever sell it even if I decide to upgrade to a Vaquero.
