windshield/fairing options

I have what I think is the OEM two-piece windshield on my 2000 Nomad (carbureted) and want to replace it with something that affords better wind protection. What windshields are available, and what fairings are there. I have already checked out the Premeux fairings, but am wondering about choices like Tsukayu, Radio Caddy and others. Pictures please! What about the Raven fairing by Rifle? Does anyone have one?

Bruce,

I just purchased a replaceent shield from ClearView.

http://www.clearviewshields.com/shop/product.php?id=46

Ordered a 2 inch over size with the recurve at the top and a vent. I'm waiting for it to arrive. there is aobut a six week waiting period for them . The work that I have heard is that the wait is worth it. The shield is much thicker and you can loose the spacer piece.

If you are considering a fairing, the premeux is the one with the least hassle. When you get it, all you have to do is take it out of the box and put it on. It is already perfectly color matched to your year model. Also since it is a harley clone, all the harley accessories fit it, so you got a lot of options for add ons. I really love mine!

Check these out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...id=p2759.l1259
This may be what I need to clean up that dirty air high up behind my windshield. I emailed the seller and asked him to post to the vendor folder.

Thanks for the comments on Premeux. They are only 200 miles north of where I live.

I'll second that statement, they are well made, fit good, easy to mount. and make the bike a lot nicer to ride on long trips.

I have heard many say the Premiux farings are too expensive - but the old saying you get what you pay for is true in this case. They are of very good quality and they fit! Love mine!!
