Windshield for fairing help

I have a Premeux fairing with the 5" smoke windshield on my '06 Nomad. E-mailed both Phat and Premeux looking for the the 10-18" clear replacement but no response yet.

Any idea's where or how to get a taller clear windscreen for the fairing?

thanks,

Jim

Maybe give Wide Open Customs a call. I don't know if their shields will fit the Premeux, but they answer the phone and have been very helpful to me.

These folks make windshields for all bikes. You're looking for a Harley Electraglide windshield. They have all different heights and tints:

A stock Harley windsheild fits and they come in a variety of sizes, both OEM and aftermarket will work.

Like Ring said, One of the best features is that almost ALL HD parts will fit the Premeux. I just replaced mine with a 9 1/2" Clearview light tint windshield with the "recurve" on top. Fit was PERFECT. BUT, I did have to wait 7 weeks for delivery. Any windshield for a 1996-Present HD fairing will fit. Just make sure it's for the '96-present ones (ones with 3 mounting holes) ;)

Jim, I also have the little short black windshield. Like you said, "it looks really great, but is worthless out riding. A 10" windshield was what I had been using and it worked really well, but the 9 1/2" with the recurve acts like a 12". My wife said that the buffeting she had been experiencing is now gone.

Yeah, I've got a 5" tinted shield when I got my fairing, and quickly found out that it looks better than it works.

I guess I'll just have to take some pictures of "cool" before changing shields. Thanks for the feedback on the shorter style with recurve [10" or so] - I was heading that way - looks like Clearview carries an assortment of the "Harley" ones in stock so maybe I won't have to wait 7 weeks!
