Most depressing day of the year
Well, I finally broke down today and did it: the Nomad is officially hibernating for the winter. I actually haven't been able to ride it since November 22, but I couldn't bring myself to winterize it until today. So, the Sea-foam went in the tank, I was able to ride it a little to get the fuel circulated, I put the battery tender on, and the cover is now over the bike.
It was a great summer with my Nomad, as I put on 8200 miles. Of course, I wish there could have been time for many more! We have about six inches of snow on the ground, and the highs are only in the 10s-20s. I will now be living vicariously (with envy!) through all of you that can still ride. Please keep us informed of your trips, just please don't rub it in! Merry Christmas! PC Login or Register to Remove Ads |
