Greatest day of the year!

Christmas may be the most wonderful time of the year, but today is the greatest day of the year! Yep, another northener is out of hibernation! We hit 68 for a high here today, so after school I took the cover off the Nomad and unplugged the battery tender. After checking all fluids and the tire pressure, it fired up on the first try. Ah, what a great sound to hear after four months of silence! After a 20 mile trip up the highway, I came home and put on the set of lower saddlebag rails I bought on ebay and the 2" risers I got from Chuckster. Both went on easily and look great.
We're still in the time of the year where it'll be 70 one day and 40 the next, but at least the bike is out! Safe riding to all of you!

Greatest day of the year!

I don't know what it is like to have that first ride of the year. I am with Mitch on the hibernation. With him in Louisiana and me in north Alabama we get to ride every month of the year. Glad it warmed up enough so you could get out and enjoy a ride. Maybe it won't be too long before you will be able to ride a lot more often.

So do you have any spare rooms between the months of Dec and April? Then I wouldn't have to know of this hibernation... I love crawfish!

Greatest day of the year!

As cold as it gets here during the winter, we love it, and it makes that first ride of the spring that much sweeter. There truly is nothing like spring here, as the birds return, the grass turns green, and the trees start to bud out. Life is good!

Kris: I'm still waiting on that Premeux trunk! The day that arrives, it will probably be Christmas Day, part deux!

Greatest day of the year!

Pay no attention to those folks below the Mason-Dixon line. The heat of too many summers has done its damage and they can't help themselves.

Shaking off the winter for the first spin of spring is something they will never know or appreciate.

Happy Spring.

Greatest day of the year!

Yah Jared I was going to ask that. Way up north here in the Vancouver area, we can ride all year, some years. If you watched the Olympics we really did not have winter. Although I know I have to wait a bit after back surgery, it was killing me not being able to ride while the weather was so good.

So good on yah Prairie Cruiser. It's good to hear about those who can and are.

By the way, why do North Dakotans pronounce Pierre "Peer"?

Greatest day of the year!

The first ride of the year reminds us of why we work. Anyone that does not experience that first ride of the year has no idea how fantastic it is.
