Downsizing From the Nomad 1600...

Age and physical condition have brought me to realize that I may need to move to a lighter motorcycle than my 07 Nomad. Some have suggested a trike conversion, but I just can't see leaving two wheels entirely just yet. I would like to ride 2 wheels as long as possible. The main consideration for me at 5'6" and 65 yr. old is the weight of the Nomad. I love the Vulcan Nomad, and have been wondering if the Vulcan 900 would be good choice. Just wondering if anyone has any personal, or even second hand, experience with moving from the Nomad to a smaller bike for touring, and specifically the Vulcan 900. My purpose is extended rides, solo, but with camping gear.
