Installing PC 8 on 1600 Nomad

I know many of you have PC8 or other aux fuse boxes installed on your bikes and I have a question. Where did you actually install the fuse box. I know quite a bit install them behind the left side panel, but I have my TFI installed there. Where else is a good spot to place the box? Where is yours? I think I understand all the wiring, now just need a place to put it. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

I don't have a 2nd fuse box yet, but I think if I did I might want to mount in iside the right side cover on velcro and have it quick disconnect to remain with the bike. That way all the wiring is in one place.

I tapped the relay in to the rear running light. The wire was blue; I did consult the service manual first.

Hell I can't find the color of wire to tap. So for my switched connection what color wire and where is it at?

I used the wires under the seat; just before they go into the fender. I used the running light(blue wire) to trigger the relay. This is pin 86 of the four pin, 30 amp automotive relay. Pin 85 is the ground, pin 30 is the incoming power from the battery and pin 87 goes to the fuse block.

David, If you cut your tool box out of the left side, you should have plenty of room. I haven't cut mine out yet but will with a dremell.

Check the bundle of wires under the seat, just before they pass through the rear fender. This is the taillight wiring harness. Use a test light, and the wire that has power after turning on the key is the taillight circuit.
