Drove east to west through MO on Rte 6 today--from rain to heat to drizzle to heat. Very good road particularly if you like seeing corn and soybeans.

Ended up in Omaha--pushed an extra 100 miles to try a steak dinner. I'm not a big meat eater, but the steak at Picolo Pete's was the best I've ever tasted and the service was great.

Mods: twice on this trip, the Stebel blasted an encroaching cage from merging into my lane. Both of them jumped.

Air and TFI: You get stuck behind a truck hauling pigs on a two-lane and you have a problem. You can't ride close because of the stench, but you have to pass. When I hit the throttle in 4th, I was able to get out and around with confidence.

THAT smell is bad.

Sounds like you had an interesting trip. Sure wish I could have enjoyed a steak with you. That sure sounds good. We have a lot of chicken trucks here and I know being behind one sure is smelly.

Can't imagine that smell, and I don't want to either. I know what you mean about the new found power that come with the TFI and air intake mod. It is nice to be able to blow right past something when you need to, and be able to do it with confidence!

2 of the best mods anyone can make to the Nomad. IMO.

Uh, you wanna give me a 10-9 on that Pig-Pen?
Uh, negatory Pig-Pen, yer still too close
Yeah, them hogs is startin' close up my sinuses
Mercy sakes, you better back off another ten

Uh, 10-4 Pig-Pen, what's yer 20?

What a deal - behind a hog truck and nowhere to go - are you sure it wasn't an HD semi with a load?

Are you running the TFI and air accessory with the stock exhaust?I like the stock exhaust but would like to change out the air intake and add the TFI. Can I do that without changing out the exhaust?

Yes. My exhaust is stock. I did a de-baffle but, according to the wizards here, that only affects the sound.

Except for variations among bikes, our settings would be the same.
