Starting a "Did You Know" about KawaNOW...

This idea hit me while I was riding with the SouthCentral group in Oklahoma this past weekend. Several in our Southcentral group have either lived an interesting life or have a "claim to fame".

For instance, did you know that we have a KawaNOW member that owns and rides the fastest bagger in the US....A Nomad that will do the quarter mile in 9 seconds.....149 MPH! Did you know that KawaNOW also has a member that works for Garmin and developed the interface for the Zumo 550?

And I'm sure there are many others in our membership that lead an interesting life or do something interesting for a living or have a claim to fame.

I would like to start a "Did You Know" page on our website listing these interesting facts about our members. No names or contact info will be published, just a listing of the facts. All information turned into me will be strictly confidential.

I would even like to know what everyone does for a living and any other info like what motorcycle groups you are a member of besides KawaNOW.

So, if you would like to participate (and I hope you would), please send me a PM (that way all info will be confidential) and tell me about yourself and your claim to fame or interesting fact. If you leave your info here in this public thread, I may not take it seriously, so send me a PM only.

I'll give this a month or so before putting this page together on the website.

Thanks,
Trip

That's no fun that those who would let us know who they are and give the info is a no go.

Must be planning a future trivia game an don't want to give it away?

If they are willing to put a name and a face to the info, I think that would be cool.

Many people would rather have their information confidential Dan.....but you balloon boys in Colorado seem to like publicity.

That sounds like a neat idea about seeing what others here do, but on one hand I do understand the confidentiality, but if the member doesn't mind being exposed to the group it would be interesting to put a name to see what some of us do for a living.
Just my thought on the matter.

Well, if they want it to be public, I don't have a problem. But I figured that making everything public would scare many away.

How about the man who raises five boys all big enough to eat hay and is solely responsible for every food shortage in the Southeast?

Did you know that one of our members presses his shirts before he rides so he doesn't end up resembling a biker? Oh, and they aren't t-shirts either but short-sleeved dress shirts? BD, king of the girly-men!
