Getting excited and getting ready

A week from Friday I will be starting out on what I am hoping will be a great ride. Originally I was going to leave Manassas VA on Tuesday, ride to Nashville for an archery conference on Thursday which will then leave me a couple of days to ride the tail of the dragon and a few of the other great roads that Tn. has to offer. Then it hit me! Why not leave on my Friday off and head Northwest to Indiana and visit my parents. Dad is 85 and quit riding last fall so he would love to see the bike and all I have done with it. I can spend a couple of days there and then head down to Knoxville and pick up my original ride. Meanwhile I can map out some of the archery sites so I can meet a few more people and put a few more arrows across my longbow's string. It should be good: arrows, archers, parents, old friends and the Nomad. It doesn't get much better.

I'm not familiar with the climate of that part of the country, but isn't it still cold? I'm thinking it's still winter.

I was thinking the same thing. You better get some heated gear or prepare for cold weather.
