Wide Open Custom Fairing Completed!

Had this done a couple of weeks ago but never got around to taking pictures and then our weather went for the sh!ts. Wide Open makes this fairing for the 1600 but said that all you need are 1/2" shims to install on the two brackets. OK, sounds easy to me, well as most of you know these things never turn out as easy as the best laid plans. The 1600 and 1500 have some slight differences and this fairing was not going to fit around my head light bucket. Mike "Gibby" a "new" member on this site saved the day, he sent me some drawings of a bracket he designed to move the headlight bucket forward to allow the fairing to fit. As well, Mike has a different light bar set up but he also sent me drawings to move his setup forward. I made some modifications to the lightbar movement from his diagrams and presto it is done. (Not really presto but a lot of headaches were alleviated.) Many THANKS out to Mike for his wonderful assistance and his great detailed diagrams.
<marquee>Thanks Mike "Gibby"</marquee>

Looks great. I've been working on mine (reckless), but it's still a few weeks (at best) before I'm finished.

also, where did you get the chrome pieces between your bags and fender?..................

Oh yah that looks AWESOME. Good to see you stuck with it. Also good to see you got the upgraded Jensen speakers.

Nice work Psycho.

Do me a favor if you would. Could I get a summary or something on how you moved the headlight forward. My WOC fits fine but I would like to move the headlight forward so I can get to the inside of the bucket easier.

Thanks.

Looks like a very nice blondie. I love my fairing and if I had to do it all over again, I would go with the WOC. It also looks good with the shorty shield. I have one for mine to but usually use the 9" for travelling.
