This from the Kawasaki Canada site:

"6th gear is an overdrive gear, contributing to stress-free riding and better fuel economy when cruising at highway speeds.

Cruise control (Vulcan 1700 Nomad only)"

Hammer I thought that the 1700 Nomad was the only one. How about the Venture? It probably does, doesn't it.

Only the '09-later Nomad and Voyager have cruise control.

Funny answer from Cj as he built his criuse, and used the crash bars as vac pods.

I use a vista cruise throttle lock, but there I am and for how i ride even that doesn't get much use. When pics of my bike pop up, you can't really see the device since i didn't use the black clamp that holds it on the bars.

No Mac, I didn't use the crash bars. I built the vacuum canister from 1" PVC and mounted it in front of the voltage regulator, beneath the radiator. Someone came up with the crashbar idea after I already installed mine.

I used the left rear crash bar for my vacuum canister. I got the idea off Gadjet's page.
