Well Now I've Gone and Done it

Well my Nomad is no longer mine. I bought, a couple of weeks back, a new 09 Concours 14 ABS. I was going to keep the Nomad for 2-up riding, but while I was buying the Connie, my wife fell in love with the Can-Am Spyder RT-S, so a couple of weeks later she was the new owner of a blue 2010 Can-Am Spyder RT-S and I traded in the Nomad on it. I have to say that I loved the Nomad, it served me well for 9200 miles, including a 2500 mile round trip to Ohio last year for my sisters wedding. The seductive lure of power won me over though. I really, really love the Connie. I get an average of 42 mpg on it with 134 rwhp. It is hard to beat that ZX-14 engine.

I hope y'all can still welcome a Connie rider to come and grace the board now and then, of all the forums I have been on, this is by far the friendliest I have been on. Here is a picture of our new rides.

Those Connie's are great bikes. I never really paid much attention to them till I saw one last year at the Motorcycle show that BD and I attended. I've read a few article on them and people just love em.

Geez..what a coincidance..my buddy at work picked up a spyder yesterday. The connie is a great bike and you'll have a blast on it. Too bad the budget said no to keeping the Nomad.

I have a BMW RT-P and when looking for a new bike I almost bought the Concours. It really is top of the line. It is a great bike. The only reason I didn't get it was that I kept the BMW and decided I really wanted a total cruiser to compliment it. That narrowed it down for me and the Nomad won out.

I envy you with that Connie, there are still a lot of days where Id love to have a pile of hp at my beckoning. I probably wouldn't have a licence left for long though, since I would would love to fly home at over 150mph some evenings when the roads are empty.
Your wife has a real nice ride also, Ive never ridden one but would love to try one out someday.
