$25 Stebel/WOLO/Bad Boy

Just stumbled across this looking for ammo deals in a Sportsman Guide catalog. Seems that if it's intended for a car it's $20 less. If you have been waiting, now is the time.

Looks like a great deal Stan. Anyone familar with the Wolo horn? Will it fit the Nomad without any modifications?

Wolo and Stebel are the same. The one in the link is black plastic. You pay more for chrome.

Of course it will fit. It is an air horn not some custom made part ???
You would need a relay, wire and some wire connectors.
If it were me I would go the extra money for a Stebel horn they look the same but the Stebel is rated 139dB and this one is rated at 118.

If they are the same why is one rated at 139 db and the less expensive rated at 118?

Because they aren't the same, apparently. That's why one is $25 and the other isn't.

Actually you can buy the 132 Db Blazzer OEM replacement horns for $12 at Advance Auto and other Auto parts stores. And if you just put one in place of your original you'll be putting a horn that draws 5.5 AMP in a circuit set up for 10 amps and you won't even have to do any wiring

I actually bought one of these. I replaced my Stebel with it when I thought the Stebel had died. Turned out to be a flaky ground. Anyway, the Stebel is far more effective at getting people's attention than the Blazer. The Stebel is back on my bike and is going to stay there.

I have the Wolo from Harbor Freight. It is loud. It comes with the relay. I needed a small piece of flat stock to use for a bracket, but other than that, it went pretty easy.

TC and CJ, I agree that there can be a significant diference between the 140Db Stebel and the Blazzers. You have to be carefull when you pick the blazzers as they have 118Db Models and 125Db models along with the 132Db all on the same rack at the Advance I got mine from. I have found the same thing at a AutoZone when helping a friend.
Even with the 132 Db I can hear the difference with the Stebel easily but if a person is not electrically inclined the plug and play Blazzer can be a big improvement over stock. I have had one for about 2 years on my Nomad.
So get real loud for $50 and a couple hours work with the Stebel or get loud for $12 and 15 minutes work with the Blazzer. Both are improvements over stock
