Bike all Clean & Shiney

So I'm gonna detail the Nomad..I go to the local OSH store and look at all the instant car detailing products...$8, $9, $10. Then I remembered that someone mentioned furniture polish. So I go over to the household cleaning isle and get Favor furniture polish, lemon scented to boot for only $2.98.
BUT...could this really clean AND polish?
Let me tell you...the nasty bugs on the windscreen and mirrors...off in seconds. My bike NEVER looked better. I was so excited I actually detailed the whole bike rather than just shine up the parts people see. I'M Sold!

I use polish for quick touch ups, but beware of using when your bike is dirty instead of dusty, those bags scratch really easy.

Funny you should title your post Clean & Shine because Clean & Shine is another great Johnson & Johnson product that's absolutely superb for cleaning a bike! The drawback is that it has to be ordered by the case because none of the stores we've found stock the cleaner in this area. It's worth it though.

I'll see if I can find the Favor brand and give it a try. Can you tell me who manufactures/distributes Favor?

I use Pledge. It works too. I use it on all the surfaces except the tires.

Pledge is another product that works. Have you ever used Coca-Cola to get tar off your paint?

I use clean and shine on everything except the tires, which reminds me...I need to order another case. :)

I believe Todd uses sh*t for chapped lips....

It doesn't promote healing but it cuts down on him licking them! ;)

I use generic orange scented furniture polish from Dollar General for $1.50 a can. Works great for bugs and such.

I'll use different waxes when Im taking my time cleaning the bike, but when Im in a hurry the can of Pledge does a pretty good job.

If you really want clean, use automotive clay. I used it with detailer spray and my paint looks brand new! Then I put on three coats of carnuba wax, it has that "wet" look now. :)
