GOOD NEWS !!

Heard on the radio this afternoon that oil fell $10.00 per barrel. The " know-it-alls" are predicting that gas should be down as much as 30 cents per gallon by Memorial Day. Imagine that !! Getting excited over $3.70 gas. Whatcha wanna bet it never goes below $3.00 per gal. ?

I don't expect it to get below $3.50. Paying $3.68 presently. Some stations here got to $3.81. Have to say that Murphy Oil didn't raise the price of their gas during the tornadoes here. We couldn't buy gas locally since no stations had electricity. Had to drive a lot of miles and then wait in line to buy gas. When we finally got power back Murphy kept their price down even though some stations went up.

Gene,

I feel your pain, my friend. We suffered the same inconveniences after Gustav and Katrina. Exxon stepped up, and didn't raise prices, and they kept 12 strategically located stations around town open. Even with that, there were lines, short tempers, and fights on a daily basis.

We must be related . All I need to do is buy something today, and it'll be on sale tomorrow.

The Exxon station close to my house went down to $ 3.75. I guess we are conditioned now to think of that as a steal of a deal. But... It's better than before !

The price of a barrel of oil went down $10 yesterday and today they jack the price of gas here another 3-4 cents a litre to
$1.46.9 , that is $5.56 a US gal for regular.

We're at $4.28 for 87 and have been there for a week now. It would be great to roll that back at least $.50.
